It is very common to have the Ave Maria song or another meaningful song played at the same time the unity candle is being lighten by the new wedding couple. Every church has a different set up for this part of the religious ceremony. Wedding unity candles are very popular by catholic and non catholic weddings. It is very common to attend a catholic wedding and see the wedding unity candle ritual.

Kneeling Pillows: Most commonly used in Latin or Hispanic catholic weddings. The embroidered kneeling pillows are more of a customary tradition rather than a symbolic one. Typically these will have the names of the bride and groom embroidered on them.

The power of the Saint Rosary will strengthen the marriage values and ease those difficult moments.

Thirteen Gold Coins or Arras: The arras are a very important part of the catholic wedding ceremony. The arras are thirteen gold or silver color coins. These are considered symbol of how the wife will safe keep all their treasures, as well as a symbol of trust and confidence is given to the bride after they are blessed by the priest and given to the groom to then place in the hands of the bride. Normally cherished and placed in a small treasure chest in a special place of their home. The remembrance of the trust the husband has placed in his wife, and a symbol of how the husband will always support his wife with any thing they are blessed with for richer and for poorer.

Now it is most common to see the catholic wedding lassos to be made of beautiful crystals resembling a rosary. Others are made of a thick fancy cord, and others are made from real flowers and then dried and framed. The lasso is typically placed around the bride and groom after they have both accepted their vows and not removed until the end of the ceremony.

Wedding Rings: As a circle of life, the ring is a commitment from the husband to the wife and wife to the husband that they both belong to each other. The commitment towards one another by each wearing a wedding band.

Wedding Ring Pillow: Used to hold the rings until the priest asks for them. At that time the rings are carried on this wedding ring pillow held by a couple of ribbons. Typically hand carried by a small boy or little girl.

Fresh Flower Bouquet for Virgin Mary: It is very traditional in the Hispanic weddings to take a moment of prayer after the newly weds have been blessed with the holy matrimony. The bride is then told by the priest to take the fresh flower bouquet to Virgin Mary. A few moments of silence are given while the bride and groom say a prayer.
